Bulgarian musicology magazine

Bulgarian Musicology is the only academic journal in Bulgaria which covers a variety of topics in the field of musical culture. It started as a series of "Musicology" in 1977, and in 1981 took a regular journal format with four issues published annualy. Allsubmitted materials are a matter of peer review made by Bulgarian and foreign specialists.

The journal includes articles which explore various phenomena, processes, documents and artifacts, associated with different spheres of the Bulgarian and world musical culture, approached by advanced research methods. Particular issues of the journal are devoted to significant historical and contemporary topics.

Bulgarian Musicology welcomes materials by both established and younger musicologists from Bulgaria and abroad. One of the regular journal rubrics, entitled “Debuts”, provides a special space for the publishing of studies by young scholars
