Kamelia Nikolova nominated for Pythagoras Award in the category Established Researcher in Social Sciences and Humanities

Prof. Kamelia Nikolova, DSc, Drama Department, Institute of Art Studies, BAS was among the three scholars short-listed for Pythagoras ‘2015 Award for outstanding achievements in scientific research in the category Established Researcher in Social Sciences and Humanities.
A total of 11 submissions in this category were whittled down to a short list of three––Prof. Kamelia Nikolova with two other researchers––by an authoritative jury of renowned experts. She was nominated for her significant contribution to the humanities and history of art in the last couple of years: her book Bulgarian Theatre after 1989 and the New British Drama (University of Sofia Press, 2013); to the marking of the Year of Shakespeare through the mounting of a conference and a book, Shakespeare in Bulgaria Now (2014) and to the work of an international team on the Digital Theatre Words project. (2014).
Pythagoras 2015 awards ceremony of the Ministry of Education and Science for outstanding achievements in scientific research was held on 18 June 2015 in Sofia’s Hotel Balkan.
