Institute of Art Studies wins four projects in a competition held by the National Research Fund of Bulgaria

Four of a total of six projects of the Institute of Art Studies won funding in a competition for fundamental research held by the National Research Fund of Bulgaria as follows:
The Paths of Balkan Icon-painters and Post-Byzantine Artistic Legacy in Bulgaria, led by Assoc. Prof. Biserka Penkova;
Index and Repertorium of the Church Mural Painting in Bulgaria of the First Half of the Nineteenth Century, led by Assoc. Prof. Emmanuel Moutafov;
Musical Manuscript Heritage of the Rila Monastery. Bilingual Musical Manuscripts (Greek/Slavonic): Digitising and Study, led by Prof. Cor. Mem. Svetlana Kuyumdjieva, DSc;
Bulgaria’s Twentieth Century in Arts and Culture, led by Prof. Claire Levi, DSc.

The Institute is in partnership with NATFA on yet another winning project, Creating and Managing Electronic Library of Scientific, Textual and Visual Archives in the Fields of Dramatic and Screen Arts.
